Biodiesel is a cleaner burning alternative fuel produced from any fat or vegetable oil. It contains no petroleum, but it can be mixed with petroleum diesel to create a biodiesel blend and used in compression-ignition (diesel) engines with no modifications. Biodiesel is simple to use, is biodegradable, nontoxic, and essentially free from sulfur and aromatics.
